Ethiopian coffee sports club came to life when interested group of then called Ethiopia coffee marketing corporation works formed football team in 1975 and played in the lower division  of  Addis Ababa. Soon after the name was changed to “Buna Gebeya” sport club (Coffee marketing) under the management of Ethiopian coffee marketing corporation.
